Louet North America patterns are created internally by a dedicated team of pattern developers, or by renown designers from around the world. In either instance, the entire creative process is overseen by Trudy Van Stralen, the Creative Director of Louet North America.
Patterns created by and for Louet North America are designed with tremendous attention to detail. The design process is 6 to 9 months long, taking into account the latest trends in color and fashion.
After the creative ideas and sketches are put to paper, and swatches are prepared, the Louet North America design team charts the pattern in actual size to create the original test garment. Next we size all potential sizes for the pattern and test knit each size to ensure that the pattern works well and fits as designed in all sizes.
This is a laborious process, but insures that the knitter will realize a quality, well-fitted garment, regardless of his / her size.
Unique stitch combinations are used for effect and allow garments made from Louet North America patterns and yarns to be true treasures.
Louet North America pattern sheets have a great deal of detail, stitch images and finished garment shots presented in an easy-to-follow, well-designed layout.
